Description
A very friendly business based in Welwyn, you will the sole buyer in a close knit wider team. You will be responsible for the total business spend. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in procurement, supply chain or purchasing. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Be main liaison between engineering contractors , suppliers and new suppliers for all issues relating to materials and other products purchased.
  • Obtaining quotes; collate and analyse quotes. 
  • Raising & expediting purchase orders
  • Negotiating best terms and conditions, pricing.
  • Work closely with the warehouse and production to manage stock control and stock taking process.
  • Forecasting against materials and other tools needed, based on stock control activities.
  • Handling all elements of supply chain, procurement, buying, purchasing. 
Skills and experience:
  • Experience of Buying or Purchasing within an engineering manufacturing environment (Desired)
  • Logical, problem-solving mindset
  • Strong relationship management/communication skills
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Flexible, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
