LOGISTICS COORDINATOR - POLISH SPEAKING
Urgently needed

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a multi-billion dollar, global business, based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. To support their continued growth and development, they  are require for a fluent Polish speaking Logistics Coordinator to join their Import Logistics team. They are looking for somebody who is eager to join a busy team in a fast-moving business. This would ideally suit somebody who has been in a similar role for 2+ years. Excel at an advanced level is required due to the computer systems they currently have in place. The candidate will need to live close to Cheshunt, Herts as the role is fully site based until after probation is completed. 


The Role Duties & Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Log & Track all shipments
• Scheduling of all contracts and shipments directly with suppliers
• Establish freight rates directly with shippers and hauliers
• Establish and verify duty rates
• Ensure all documentation with regard to import regulations with the EEC is in order and correct
• Liaise with nominated clearing agents
• Timely and accurate completion of import and export customs entries and declarations
• Update inhouse computer system in accordance with the company’s day to day business practices (system currently being updated)
• Liaise with clearing agents in a timely manner to ensure that all documentation is in order and presented to them to avoid excess handling charges
• Work with the senior management team to ensure a smooth process
• Providing goods traceability reports for Technical Department
• Support other colleagues or departments when necessary
• Any other reasonable request

The Person

• 2-3 years + in Logistics/shipping/transport – import (essential)
• Polish speaker
• Knowledge of EU and non-EU import and export processes
• Producing and dealing with international shipping documentation
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment - working to deadlines and changes ability to react to short notice changes to suit operational requirements
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Proactive, ability to work using own initiative
• Ability to work in a team

• Solid Administration skills

• Be competent in use of Microsoft Office applications

What’s on offer:

• Hybrid working after probation which is around 6 months
• Hours 08.30 – 5.00 with 1 hour lunch
• Salary will depend on experience
• 22 days holiday, increasing to 24 after 5 years’ service and 27 after 10 years
