- Logistics Manager
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
9-5.30pm Monday to Friday ( fully office working )
Scope: To be responsible and support for the day-to-day transport & logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with operational team regarding shipment & documentation
- Establishing commercial relationships with suppliers and customers across the European continent to drive supply chain efficiencies.
- Resolving logistical related issues with 3PL partners across Europe.
- Day to day management of 3PL stock and coordination of stock transfers.
- Manage all courier activities and maintain relationship with carriers.
- Liaising with internal sales and dispatch team to schedule orders.
- Troubleshoot delays and solve issues with Customs Agents.
- Manage commercial invoices and other customs documentation.
- Working knowledge of customs clearance requirements across Europe & Asia.
- Assist with management and audit of customs records for the company’s customs authorisation.
- Support with any returns queries between suppliers, 3PL warehousing and internal dispatch team.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of driving supply chain efficiencies and performance improvement in logistics operations
- Track record of implementing and delivering an international fulfilment network
- Working knowledge of global import and export landscape and shipping industry including customs documentation post-Brexit such as duty, HTS codes, COO preparation.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and processes
- Prior experience in Freight forwarding/Logistics company is desirable
- Experience with both import and export activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and influencing ability
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excel experience at intermediate/advanced level due to large stocks involved.
