£30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus performance bonus
9-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Role Profile
Our client is a global international sales and distribution business based in Waltham Abbey. They are looking to appoint a highly motivated and organised Logistics Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the fulfilment arranging shipping and distribution of orders to overseas customers. The successful candidate wont be needed to manage any other staff members.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Arranging shipment of orders, including raising POs for freight / transport suppliers
- Tracking shipments and ensuring that they arrive in time
- Produce relevant and accurate shipping documentation for import / export documentation for customs, including custom declarations to ensure smooth and efficient shipping
- Working knowledge of custom clearance requirements across Europe & Asia
- Process customer orders from initial receipt through to final shipment
- Act as point of contact for customer, resolving queries on order status and providing fulfilment reports
- Maintain strong relationships with logistics suppliers to drive supply chain efficiencies
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- 3+ years’ experience in a logistics or supply chain role
- Previous experience of customer order fulfilment in a B2B environment
- Good working knowledge of customs procedures and import / export documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and influencing ability
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
