- Description
- We are looking for strong and creative communicator to join the Marcoms team of a large local business as a Content Creator. This is a new role and an extremely exciting time to join a relatively new team who are all passionate about what they are doing.
You will innovate, implement, deliver and manage creative content that is aligned to the company’s vision and targets. Deliver excellence through the positive engagement of key stakeholders and the dissemination of business programmes, accomplishments, messages and expertise.
You will drive the business’ external and some internal content with energy, passion and positivity to maximise the awareness of products and services, ensuring that the business sustainably retains its leadership position in the marketplace.
You will be passionate about writing and telling stories that are compelling and engaging for different audiences. A strong interest in sustainability and the environment would be ideal.
Key results areas include:
- Research, create, review, edit and update written content for company website, external publications and social media platforms
- Develop video and graphic content for company website and social media platforms
- Devise a plan to develop and manage our online community, including responding to questions or complaints collaborating with key internal stakeholders to develop a robust and timely response process
- Plan, develop and implement new initiatives to connect and engage with different target stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of marketing and communications activities based on customer personas and the benefits derived from the business’ products and services.
- Liaise with suppliers/partners and collaborate with key department stakeholders at all levels; seeking to improve and maintain positive business relationships.
- Work with the digital analyst to report on the performance of our social media and online activities, analyse results and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support the launch of new and updated products and services by creating and delivering engaging online content
- Recommend new researched ways to promote our message and reach our target audiences
- Support the department manager in maximising the connectivity between external and internal facing teams to ensure the customer is placed at the centre of our output; collaborating with all stakeholders and colleagues to achieve this.
- Collaborate effectively and efficiently with the Product Management Department to support the delivery of total lifecycle management of existing and future products/services for all business units.
- Support and maintain a positive public identity for the company to: maximise sales turnover, expand market share, optimise gross margin and disseminate knowledge of our market leading products.
- Attend, summarise and participate in relevant exhibitions, presentations, seminars and meetings that support the achievement of the departmental goals.
- Understand and comply with all relevant company policies.
- Relevant BA/BSc degree (or equivalent qualification)
- 3 years+ Communications and/or Marketing experience (or equivalent)
- Experience of creating, including writing, strong, engaging content ranging from social media posts to blogs.
- IT Literate; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project
- Creative Suite Literate: Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Premier Pro (or equivalent graphics/video editing software)
- Capability to multi-task, prioritise and manage a diverse range of projects and tasks
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and communications including social media management
- Understanding of SEO best practice
- Good listening skills, with a mindset for curiosity and questioning
- Excellent research, organisational and time-management skills
- Creative with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic, confident and articulate communicator capable of navigating across all levels of business
- A diligent, analytical, self-motivational, passionate and pro-active problem-solving mindset
