- An opportunity has arisen for a Permanent Warehouse Operative to work with our client in Harlow. The company have some large clients who require a high level of service. The ideal candidate will have a Counterbalance Forklift licence OR had experience of using one in their previous role and would be able to use one competently.
Hours: 8.30-5pm Monday- Friday
Salary : £25,000 p.a
PURPOSE OF JOB: PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Warehouse Operative will work in the stores and assembly area. Receiving and despatching goods on a daily basis and performing Quality Control checks in line with company procedures.
REPORTS TO:
The Operations Manager
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receiving and despatching goods.
• Planning storage allocation
• Quality control checks
• Picking and packing goods in line with customer requirements,
• Loading and unloading Lorries
• Ensuring all stock areas are clean and tidy
• Inventory Checks
• Handling customer returns
• Small batch assembly, including soldering and testing of products when required.
• Ordering packaging supplies
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
• Waste/Recycling.
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:
We work with some major customers, who expect a high level of service.
SKILLS:
1. Good attention to detail.
2. Flexible approach to tasks
3. Numerate4. Previous Warehouse Assembly experience would be an advantage but not essential
5. Forktruck Licence holder
6. Interpersonal communication at all levels, both internally and externally
7. Team player 8. Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
