- Description
A great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistance to join our client in Hertford. Reporting to the on site Maintenance Building Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a good all round knowledge and experience of working and delivering repairs, elements of planned maintenance and refurbishments. Ideal candidate will have relevant City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualifications and/or qualified by experience.
Salary is £22,500
Hours: 38.75 hours a week - 7.30-4.30pm.
The candidate will also be required to work approx. 6-10 Saturdays per year on a rota basis with time off in lieu.
Holidays:25 Days
You will be able to complete basic mechanical tasks including:
- replacing taps
- renewing toilet seats
- changing syphons and filters
- fitting ballcocks
- assist with replacement and maintenance of mechanical systems
- changing lamps
- replacing batteries in emergency lights
- assisting with the replacement and maintenance of electrical systems
- replacing downpipes- and gutters
- installing door furniture
- assist with the replacement and maintenance of building fabric
- cleaning gutters and downpipes
- unblocking drains
- Painting walls and woodwork
- fixing furniture
- Complete pre planning maintenance tasks in line with supervisor guidance
- assist the maintenance with the testing of fire systems, emergency lighting and flushing and temp taking of water testing
- adhering to health and safety regulations
