- Description
- We are looking for a cheerful and robust Logistics Services Co-ordinator to join to the team based in Milton Keynes for a global, well known and trusted brand.
Liaising with their Logistic Services Providers you will monitor daily performance and resolve all delivery and return issues promptly, positively and efficiently, ensuring that both internal and external customers receive the best-in-class logistics service.
Key Result Areas will include:
- Use the available systems to monitor outbound deliveries and customer returns into the warehouse to ensure all delays or issues are picked up and resolved promptly.
- Take ownership of these issues and work with colleagues and LSPs to resolve them promptly and effectively.
- Create routine KPI reports on delivery/return performance.
- Investigate specific incidents as required and recommend corrective or remedial actions.
- Identify continuous improvement areas, develop improvement ideas and follow them through to completion.
- Contribute to a positive, high quality service culture within the Logistics Department.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Team player with a very robust, cheerful and positive attitude.
- Resilient and robust: a fundamental part of the job is dealing with delivery problems and, by extension, disappointed customers. An ability to remain positive and cheerful is essential.
- Ability to work consistently to high standards and contribute to the continuous improvement culture.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to “think on your feet”.
- Demonstrate ownership of the issues you pick up and have the tenacity to follow them through to resolution.
- Able to work in a busy, results focused environment and able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, but ultimately a practical, common-sensical attitude.
