- This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, collaborative and professional HR Manager/Business Partner to join a growing and progressive organisation. The successful candidate will be CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualified and will have at least five years’ experience working within a HR environment. This is a position where you will be able to make a real difference and where both you and your contribution will be greatly valued.
The role will involve working closely with the HR Director and a HR Administrator as well as managers and key stakeholders with the business. The role is hands-on and will appeal to candidates who really enjoy getting involved in all aspects of managing a successful and harmonious business.
The role will be interesting and varied and will include managing all the generalist aspects of HR, as well as offering the opportunity to get involved in some stimulating, rewarding and exciting projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing people solutions that drive business strategy.
- The HR Manager/Business Partner will provide HR expertise for the business and will proactively manage all day-to-day HR generalist activities
- The role will by offered on a hybrid working basis with 2 days working from home
- The position will involve working between two sites Bishop’s Stortford and Haverhill with occasional visits to Poland (once or twice a year for short periods 2-3 day)
Duties will include:
- Develop people expertise and solutions to support the business in delivering its strategy
- Drive HR / people strategy
- Meet key stakeholders to discuss people challenges and provide effective solutions
- Provide guidance on people practices
- Build strong relationships with line managers to proactively support them in managing their teams
- Ensure HR is visible across all sites (physically and virtually)
- Proactively monitor team morale and identify people related risks and gaps, respond to problems, offer solutions and implement changes necessary
- Act as a local point of people expertise
- Question and challenge to get to the root of people and business issues
- Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency
- Use data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change
- Take a proactive approach to produce, implement and support people related company policies that support organisation objectives
- Lead generalist HR activities throughout the employee life cycles such as disciplinary and grievances, absence management, performance management, restructuring and recruitment and onboarding.
- Manage the day-to-day operational HR function in including benefits, payroll, pensions, annual leave, sickness and systems administration
- Collect and report data to inform decisions
- Look externally and stay informed with industry trends and changes in legislation
- Manage a HR Administrator by supporting, encouraging and developing them within their role
Skills, experience and attributes
- Five years’ experience within a HR Environment
