- Managing a team of 3, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home this is a great role for a large UK business.
10% bonus also included.
Business minded, and technically savvy you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the eCommerce and direct marketing business strategy, including business planning, strategic customer segment identification for the whole company, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design and customer service. To produce web analytics and web technologies, including paid media, SEO, display and retargeting, and shopper behaviour as well as operational trading plans.
The Role:
- Responsible for the ecommerce sales channel defining budgeted revenue and margin and achievement of the two on a monthly and annual basis.
- An effective campaign and data analyst with strategic vision capabilities with the ability to turn these strategies into actionable plans for both marketing and sales departments
- Excellent planning, organisation and project management skills
- Good commercial and financial acumen with sound budgetary control
- A creative eye and technical understanding of data mining, sales opportunities and campaign concepts
- First class attention to detail combined with the ability to work well under pressure
- A strong negotiator with good team-working skills
- Play an active role in developing the company’s marketing strategy and assist in the formulation of an annual business plan / budget.
- Develop customer acquisition, retention and reactivation strategies to achieve sales targets
- Co-ordinate and manage all DM activities profitably from conception through to completion and profit analysis (ROI) for web, email, direct mail and database manipulation
- Own the relationship with external parties including web design, web hosting and e-commerce agencies to achieve a competitive and commercial focus
- Manage effective relationships with colleagues and external agencies to assist in the running of successful end-to-end DM campaigns
- Develop and deliver the paid search and social strategy including campaigns, SEO, email and other emerging channels
- Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the e-commerce function, for cross functional partners acting as a Project Manager to evaluate, prioritise, develop, manage, implement and test e-commerce initiatives
- Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the ecommerce strategy
- Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns
- Manage all aspects of web analytics related to ecommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners
- Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organisational goals and implications are factored into ecommerce projects
- Direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop ecommerce solutions
- Identify new areas of ecommerce opportunity beyond current organisational thinking
- Ensure that all marketing collateral efforts are inspirational, informative and pertinent to the sales channel, ensuring customers are driven to a course of action
- Monitor traffic and customer acquisition activity of other organisations to spot trends and innovation which may affect the Company’s trading activity.
- Ensure the customer experience is optimised across all digital touch-points
- To act as a Key member of the Management team while managing a team of 3.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- Experienced leadership within large B2B ecommerce Projects delivering strong growth
- Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology, sophisticated analytics and best practice
- Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase ecommerce sales and profitability
- Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure ecommerce principles are incorporated
- Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results and drawing conclusions
- Demonstrable experience of budgetary ownership
- Experience of working with Magento 2 platform and an understanding of a PIM system.
- Huge passion for ecommerce with extensive experience across all digital marketing channels

This is a 12 month maternity cover role to start in January 2023.
