- Description
- This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, collaborative and professional HR Advisor to join a growing and progressive organisation. The successful candidate will be CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualified and will have at least three years’ experience working within a HR environment.
The role will involve working closely with teams, managers and key stakeholders to develop and implement people solutions that drive business strategy. The HR Advisor will act as a point of people expertise for the business and will proactively manage the day to day HR advice, employee relations, recruitment, recording and management of HR data and the employee life cycle including onboarding, absence and leavers.
Duties will include:
- Develop people expertise and solutions to support the business in delivering its strategy
- Drive HR / people strategy
- Meet key stakeholders to discuss people challenges and providing effective solutions
- Provide guidance on people practices
- Build strong relationships with line managers to proactively support them in managing their teams
- Ensure HR is visible across all sites (physically and virtually)
- Proactively monitor team morale and identify people related risks and gaps, respond to problems, offer solutions and implement changes necessary
- Act as a local point of people expertise
- Question and challenge to get to the root of people and business issues
- Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency
- Use data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change
- Take a proactive approach to write and support implementation of people related company policies that support organisation objectives
- Lead generalist HR activities throughout the employee life cycles such as disciplinary and grievances, absence management, performance management, restructuring and recruitment and onboarding.
- Manage the day-to-day operational HR function in including benefits, payroll, pensions, annual leave, sickness and systems administration
- Collect and report data to inform decisions
- Look externally and stay informed with industry trends and changes in legislation
Skills, experience and attributes
- Strong understanding of organisational drivers and culture
- Understanding of new approaches and best practice in applying HR policies, procedures and processes
- Experience in building strong professional relationships
- Adaptability; managing multiple business requirements and changing priorities
- Strong digital and commercial acumen
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven communication skills across all levels of organisations and with external service providers.
- Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent
