- This is a fantastic opportunity for a Professional and experienced Fleet Manager to join a global leader who work collaboratively to offer a world class service to their clients. This role will involve managing a fleet of 350 plus vehicles, managing internal and external relationships, forging strong working partnerships and constantly championing process improvements.
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Fleet Manager of a large fleet, 200+ vehicles.
- Focussed on fleet improvement and efficiency.
- Confident managing and negotiating with suppliers regarding contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills.
- Work closely with senior management in driving forward our vehicle offering in line with sustainability policy and goals.
- Ability to demonstrate a significant improvement in service, cost, quality, and compliance,
- Proven commercial awareness with a strong knowledge of cost control within a fleet operation.
- Ability to work with Fleet MI systems.
- Overall responsibility for vehicle supply and de-fleet management with leasing provider, ensuring that we have a supply of new vehicles from manufactures and overseeing our de-fleet.
- Overall daily account management of all fleet suppliers, both externally and internally
- Overall responsibility for optimising fleet utilisation.
- Optimising vehicle fuel spend with our partner.
- Continue to establish a fleet operating model, to document fleet processes in line with Environment Health and Safety requirements.
- Leading negotiation with original equipment manufacturer to ensure that our contracts are fit-for-purpose and commercially viable.
- Tendering and award new supply contracts whilst continually reviewing current contract performance.
- Ensuring that fleet processes are legally compliant, to allow the safe and legal operation of our fleet.
- Working in collaboration with the Reward Specialist within the People Team responsible for all fleet policies to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with the People Team responsible for effective administrative processes related to company car drivers (such as mileage charges, parking fines, driver licence checks etc.)
- Ensuring that vehicle collisions are reviewed on a regular basis.
- Implementing driver training schemes as required.
