- Description
- This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven Inventory Hardware Manager who has experience working with supply chains and warranties within a IT/Technical environment and is committed to providing a first-class service to both internal and external customers.
The role will involve providing fully functioning hardware arriving to clients by managing IT hardware stock control and inventory, the Return Merchandise Authorisation process and staging and replacing of components.
You may need to carry out hardware installations on and off site at our customers premises, which could be anywhere in the UK. You will need to be a car owner driver, mileage will be paid for any company business.
Duties
- Day to day management of hardware team 1- 2 people
- Full ownership of stock system (ordering, rotation, and logging)
- Managing warranty claims
- Dispatching all outgoing hardware that is fully functioning and on time
- Managing collections from clients
- Manage repairs and Return Merchandise Authorities
- Full ownership of bench builds and setup
- Escalation point for customer queries from helpdesk and reception
- Monthly review of hardware pricing to maintain profitable margins
- Maintaining active and transparent stock controls for all goods bought
- Managing hardware requests and inbox to ensure all requests are resolved within SLA’s and there are no outstanding hardware requests at the start and end of each working day, Mon – Fri
- Conduct quarterly manpower planning assessments
- Follow up on team H&S – DSE risk assessments, manual handling
- Daily monitoring and weekly reporting of KPI’s set by operations manager
- Scheduled reviewing of hardware structure and processes, as set by operations, to gauge and address productivity
- Taking support calls and assisting customers with their queries and issues
- Taking ownership of priority cases as required based on emergencies
Manging the team
- Coaching, training and motivating a small team of 1-2
- Performance reviews, reporting on performance
- Manging attendance and return to work following absence
