- This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven and experienced Management Accountant who is looking for a new challenge.
You will be working for a well-established company who have been in corporate workplace services for over 30 years and have several sites throughout the UK, with around 50-70 members of staff.
You will be expected to implement and maintain an appropriate system of financial controls and ensure the timely production of financial information. You will continually develop and improve the finance function, systems and procedures and support the Managing Director in achieving the operational and strategic objectives of the company.
The key parts of this role:
- Be responsible for the company’s accounting and finance function
- Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
- Work with the MD to prepare the annual budget and 12 month rolling forecasts for both P&L and Balance sheet
- Responsible for the full month end closing process including preparation of monthly reporting pack and submission
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash/working capital management.
- Responsible for statutory reporting, taxes and overseeing external and internal audits
- Ensure that the regulatory requirements (including GDPR) of all statutory bodies are met
- Ensure compliance with /Group policies and procedures. Ensure all expenditure is approved in accordance with approved authority limits.
- Professional accounting qualification required; ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- A background as a management accountant
- At least three years experience in a similar role
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
- Experienced with group level reporting within international organisations
- Experience working in an SME would be beneficial
- Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to effectively work on and manage many priorities at the same time
- Excellent Excel skills
