• Permanent, Full-Time (Part-Time requirement can be considered)
• Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:30
• Salary: £25,000 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity available as a Food Technical Assistant for our well-respected client in the food industry.

This is an exciting brand that continues to grow and provide niche products to the market.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting the Technical Manager with all tasks within the day-to-day running of the Technical Department.
• Management of product specifications for both suppliers & customers.
• Helping with product quality testing and completing sensory reports.
• Involvement in HACCP team meeting and BRC audit preparation.
• Dealing with customer for technical requests and complaints.

The successful candidate will have:

• A Food Science or similar qualification. We require a suitable candidate with previous experience in a similar QA / Technical role
• Experience with customer product specifications
• Keen to progress his/her career with an enthusiastic and dynamic team.
• Knowledge of customer codes of practice and BRC requirements.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft programme’s – Excel, Access, Outlook
• Experience of QMS, HACCP and other key legal requirements would be beneficial.
• Passionate about quality, food safety and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement.
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Italian speaking would be a bonus, however not necessary.
