This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Reward professional to join a forward thinking and award winning People Business Partnering & Employment Practice leadership team. This role will help to shape the future of the service and design and deliver a new total reward strategy. This organisation are changing and are seeking creative and innovative people who are aspirational in their area of expertise. The successful applicant will have proven expertise in designing and managing pioneering approaches to pay and reward, that maintain a high-achieving organisational culture.
This specialist role will lead on Pay and Grading, Employee Benefits, Employee Recognition (Strategy) and Employer Pensions.
Areas of responsibility:
- Operational planning and performance review to maintain exceptional service delivery.
- Will take the lead on offering advice on pay, reward, employee recognition and employer pensions.
- Responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of innovative employee reward solutions that maximise the employee value proposition and enhance employee recruitment and retention policies.
- Develop strong relationships by building networks at both a local and national level.
- Develop, deliver and monitor the effectiveness of a total reward framework that is aligned with organisational values, engages people and makes the organisation an employer of choice.
- Take a proactive approach to identify future pay and benefits trends.
- Establish and maintain an annual pay, benefits and reward structure.
- Support the Director of People & Transformation on the review of senior pay terms and conditions and allowances.
- Responsible for taking the lead on the approach for job evaluation.
Your Experience:
Experience of designing overall reward packages to attract, motivate and retain individuals and groups, with the ability to articulate complex reward and benefits information.
Experience in Executive remuneration issues, and policies and managing relationships at a strategic level. Proven experience in cross sector use of benchmarking.
Significant experience in managing business transformation and change programmes and projects.
Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience with evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge. CIPD membership is desirable. Subject matter expert in Hay Job evaluation and knowledge and understanding of Local Government Pensions.
