Description

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a small but growing Renewable Energy company and be involved in their renewable energy project from the beginning. The company, although small is backed by a Global organisation based in Saudi Arabia.

This is a new role which you can make your own and on a day-to-day basis you will work with the Country Manager and report to the Global FC.

Duties will include:

  • Payables and daily Accounting.
    • Preparation of payment vouchers for vendors (Preparing the vendor/providers payments and process them for approval and execution)
    • Processing MIRO and other vendor cost booking.
    • Review & posting of EPC vendors.
    • Processing of Employee reimbursement.
    • Daily Accounting
    • Follow up of payments with Corporate Office
    • Contract wise accounting
  • Banks reconciliation.
    • Reconciliation of bank accounts (Monitor all the available bank A/C’s for projects and office and having daily reconciliations and communications with the banks for banks operational and access issues...)
  • Reporting.
    • Prepare and ensure monthly/quarterly/year-end hard closing depending on implemented.
    • Perform accounting activities with timely update/post all related transactions with documentations and ensure accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and related regulations.
    • Timely recording of all accounting, taxation, payroll, and other records on ERP.
    • Prepare monthly and periodical financial reporting for a predefined reporting packages.
  • Cash management
    • Preparing and monitoring actual and forecasted cash flow for all projects and consolidated for UK office considering all payment and funding transactions.
  • Assets records.
    • Recording all assets acquisition entries and record the depreciation.
  • Payroll
    • Work on all payroll issues from registration through monthly payments until final dues.
  • Tax
    • Post all related entries and make sure all entries compliance with the VAT/tax regulation.
    • Following the VAT & CIT tax declaration and arranging the same in HMRC website.
  • Billing
    • Verifications and post bills.
    • Processing of Internal Billing keeping in mind Margin, taxation, and commercials aspects of the contract.
  • Support the auditor till receive Audited F.S & filling.
    • Work with auditor for annual accounts till receive the audited financial statement and file financial statement in Government website.

Work with the other accounting team to support for Lenders / Statutory Audit, Lenders Certificates, etc.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Degree in Accounting with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 5-10 Years of proven experience in accounting payables and day to day accounting.
  • Particular Skills:
    • Strong accounting background for renewable energy projects.
    • Good understanding of billing.
    • Strong experience in SAP accounting and Microsoft Office
  • Generic Skills:
    • Good organizational and coordination skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Energetic committed person who can work in a flexible way to achieve goals. 
    • Co-operative and supportive team player.
    • Self-motivation and pro-active attitude.
