This is an interesting opportunity for a Data Migration Specialist to work on a migration project for six months. The role will report into the HR Projects Manager and will take responsibility for HRIS Data Migration for the central HR and payroll data whilst supporting the implementation of ORACLE HCM
Job Purpose and key accountabilities
- Cleanse or translate data so that it can be effectively moved between legacy HR and payroll systems to HCM
- Create a Data Migration Plan to include moving the data and converting content as necessary, while considering risks and potential impacts
- Converting the business requirement to a technical solution
- Liaising with the IT and technical teams
- Extract and transformation of circa 650 employees and associated HR and payroll data
- Attending a series of as is / to be workshops to define and implement a robust data migration plan.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Analytical skills and being able to understand a financial impact to the changes implemented are essential
- Knowledge of T-SQL, HR Data Models
- Oracle HCM experience would be an advantage
- Keen attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities from operational and technical perspective
- Experience with the design, implementation, and support of HR and payroll teams
- Strong understanding of data protection and data governance
- Thorough understanding of database systems and software
- Worked with other large organisations to understand best practice
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities
