Reporting to Head of Commercial Sales, the purpose of the role is to provide specialist operational support and insight to high level projects and business challenges faced with the Sales Network. Working alongside the Sales Network Management team you will play a key role in the development and implementation of sales strategies, systems, processes and business evolution.
Key strategic focus areas will include:
- Implementation of business initiatives and changes across the sales network including the Sales Excellence Programme and CRM System usage
- Consolidation of reporting across the sales channels, working to streamline and simplify reporting appropriate to each job role
- Monitoring of branch performance statistics and reporting back on intervention task completeness uptake and effectiveness in line with KPIs & Key Metrics
- Working with Sales Network Business Managers and their direct reports to co-ordinate and action growth strategies
- Provide operational, process and systems knowledge and support to the Sales Management Team
- Identifying inefficiencies and waste in processes and working to improve
- Utilising all business information systems and reporting capabilities to a high standard
- Assisting with the collation of sales targets
- Ensuring that adequate resources, arrangements and scheduling are in place for the Head of Commercial Sales and Sales Management Team
- Ownership of high level ISO processes
- Skills and training needs assessment for the Sales Network
- General administrative duties including coding of invoices in share, preparing of agendas, minutes and actions
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
This role is suited to someone who has a task and results driven approach combined with strong organisational and administration skills. It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to have a good understanding of how a sales business currently operates or to have transferable experience working in a similar environment.
Being able to organise and prioritise several tasks and align these to wider company and sales network goals and strategies is an essential part of this role. The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills as well as the ability to network effectively with all levels of colleagues. The ability to sequence tasks or prior project management experience will be beneficial, this includes the ability to identify and manage stakeholders, to create appropriate communications plans and to manage risks and issues.
Previous business experience in a similar role and/or degree level qualifications are required.
The role will involve some travel so must have a full driving licence.
