- Description
We are looking for an experienced and technical Website Manager to take a lead role in improving user journeys across the website portfolio for a well-established local business. Working with the Marketing Manager you will also drive the SEO strategy to meet business goals.
As well implementing technical improvements you will also support content, writing, editing, enhancing and promoting the websites. You will be responsible for ensure digital content is up to date, attractively presented to a high standard and delivers for the audience intended.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Management
- Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade the websites, including monitoring and reporting on changing behaviour and usage
- Lead on the plan and execution of decommissioning of all old websites ensuring the user journeys, search rankings and traffic to new sites are not impacted
- Work closely with the wider Marketing team to ensure alignment on brand strategy and business objectives
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure website pages are relevant and delivering value
- Analyse and document web performance and report on areas of focus and improvement in the future
- Create plans to grow web traffic metrics
- Ensure full utilisation of CMS system, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Respond and troubleshoot all website issues and ensure compliance with Data Protection Polices & Procedures
SEO Management
- Oversee delivery of site optimisation tools to understand responsiveness and produce A/B testing plan
- Monitor SEO and deliver action plans to improve optimisation and formulate plans for continued growth
- Perform ongoing keyword research and optimisation to maximise organic traffic and improve the relevant ranking for key deliverables
- Provide recommendations for paid advertising campaigns
- Research competitors’ SEO performance
User Experience
- Carry out benchmarking activities and produce regular reports to understand user journeys and where there is scope to optimise
- Manage heat and scroll map analysis and deliver improvement plans to enhance customer journey and experience
- Offer insight on customer responsiveness and engagement
Digital
- Drive digital initiatives and provide digital support to the wider Marketing team
- Support PPC activity to drive web traffic and produce insight and A/B testing plans to improve conversion
- Support the Marketing Manager with the delivery of the Digital Marketing Strategy
Content Creation
- Produce creative copy and content to engage targeted audiences
- Brief and create appropriate website assets and content aligned with strategy and objectives
Knowledge & Experience
- 3 years’ experience of working within a similar role
- Great understanding of SEO and PPC
- Knowledge of Drupal 7 & 8
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Experience of publishing and editing app, website and email newsletter content
- Experience of multiple CMS
- Knowledge of web management tools i.e. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
- eCommerce experience
- Management of a medium size organisational website
- Website and web application management
- A can-do solution focussed attitude
- Business/systems analysis experience
- A good eye for app and web layout and user experience
- Technical degree or equivalent technical experience
