We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join the facilities team of a large well-known company.
Job Description
To coordinate and accurately record all planned preventative maintenance and reactive, hands-on, site activity with the aim of keeping the branch properties safe, operational, and presentable.
A varied role which requires a high degree of multi-tasking to ensure that the Company fulfils its statutory obligations for workplace safety. Regular internal and external audits require the maintenance coordinator to demonstrate compliance with procedure and legislation.
The role is based primarily in Hatfield and the successful candidate will be expected to be available for emergency callout. There is a requirement to plan and conduct hands-on remedial works for all UK offices which involves travel and may occasionally involve overnight stay. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their proven ability to manage, record and report on multi-site activity.
Knowledge, skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- A strong work ethic and personal integrity to get tasks done
- Observant
- Knowledge of premises maintenance
- Some guidance will be given but we require a level of self-learning in order to develop skills and knowledge
- Problem solving, critical analysis of proposals to ensure best value solutions
- Experience and proven ability to conduct hands-on remedial works for business premises
- Must be able to demonstrate cost control and ability to maintain a budget
- A full UK driving license
- PC literate with proven ability to use Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel
- To ensure that maintenance records and systems are available for Facilities team to cover for absence
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability to systematically manage a high number of concurrent activities, retain records, certification, and evidence for audit. To be able to give an accurate status of any activity upon request.
- First response to onsite maintenance tasks
- Regular reporting will be required to enable productivity to be communicated.
- To determine any opportunities to reduce costs but whilst ensuring that maintenance and obligations aren’t compromised
- Personable and appropriate communication at all levels
- To be confident when escalating issues in a respectful but firm manner
- Someone who values team harmony and trust
- Self-motivated to work independently whilst also supporting Facilities team with its remit for the organisation.
