As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximise efficiency and productivity. You'll ensure the right products, right amount of consumables are made and available at the right time, as well as coordinating the storage of the products. Organising the movement of goods from Factories & Suppliers to warehouse and sites which involves forecasting trends and managing inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience required:

•             Strong planning skills

•             Logical and systematic approach to work

•             Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines

•             Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally

•             Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams

•             Negotiation and influencing skills

•             Business management and analytical skills

•             Excellent communication skills, both written and oral the ability to lead and motivate a team

•             IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data and understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.

•             Advanced experience in SAP stock control system

•             An understanding of materials, production and assembly processes

 

Key objectives:

•             Set up contracts and framework agreements with regular suppliers

•             Manage supply chain ensuring stock levels are maintained

•             Ensure suppliers orders are produced to cost, design, and quality controls and delivered on time.

•             Obtain competitive quotes for 3rd party equipment prior to project start up and ensure budgets have been met at point of handover

•             Monitor and review supplier and vendor project performance

•             Co-ordinate with the factory to ensure orders are assembled efficiently, to schedule and required standards

•             Re-evaluate sourcing options from the factory

•             Work with sales team on scheduling of production of stock and bespoke projects to ensure timely deliveries.

•             Work with design team on new and existing products to ensure cost, quality and production controls are in place

•             Process all new suppliers, assemblies, purchase orders and deliveries into the business management system

•             Keep business management system updated with all stock control and process requirements

•             Analysis sales to adjust minimum stock holding

•             Understand and comply with all relevant company policies.

•             work with purchaser to source the right products

•             Control manufacturing and delivery processes

•             Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met

•             Oversee product storage, handling and distribution

•             Use company software to track goods from origin to delivery

•             Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance

•             Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain to meet sustainability targets

•             Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.

•             Annual evaluation of supplier performance

•             Establishment, management and renewal of internal purchasing processes to maintain strong governance.
