We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor on a temporary basis for at least 3 months with the possibility of going permanent.

Working for a local company you will be primarily in charge of warehouse operatives but also supervise in both the stores and assembly areas.  It is a small team working with high value products in a clean warehouse environment, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Reporting to the Operations Manager your principal responsibilities will be:

• Assigning day to day workload and organising work rota for the Warehouse team
• Receiving and despatching goods
• Planning storage allocation
• Quality control checks
• Picking and packing in line with customer orders
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Inventory checks
• Ensuring stock areas are clean and tidy
• Handling customer returns
• Coordinating activities with other departments where necessary
• Small batch assembly, including soldering and testing of products when required
• Ordering packaging supplies
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
• Delivering the highest level of service to some very major customers

Person Specification:

• Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence
• Previous experience supervising a small team
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills at all levels both externally and internally
• Flexible and adaptable team player
• Numerate and IT literate
• Previous experience of Warehouse Assembly would be an advantage
