Description

We have a new role that has become available for our client who are based in Bishop’s Stortford.

They are seeking a Purchasing Executive to join the existing team. The successful candidate will ideally have some knowledge within purchasing and have excellent administrative skills. IT literacy is also key, as you will be required to use Excel and SAGE daily.

The working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

They are also able to offer some flexibility in working from home on occasions.

Main Responsibilities of the Purchasing Executive:

•             Issue Purchase Orders according to lead time

•             Manage the purchase orders raised to completion

•             Monitor orders and deliveries

•             Assist with audits from both external and internal stakeholders

•             Ensure that purchase quality, quantity, delivery and price is correct

•             Handle material quality issues and delivery issues

•             Ensure all purchasing records are up to date, generated periodically

•             Support the preparation of monthly purchase statistics and reporting and assist with annual vendor performance assessments

•             Work with the teams to understand and determine expected forecasts for material to support consolidation of orders as needed

•             Maintain and support the stock turn, identifying slow moving items and working with the team to mitigate the need for stock expiry and disposal

•             Ensure ISO requirements and documentations are properly maintained through the evaluation and evolution of processes, procedures and work instructions

•             Arrange any supplier returns due to damage or faulty materials
