Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking Site Manager to join a great organisation on a 12 month temporary contract.

The Site Manager will be responsible for ensure all projects are delivered on time and in budget and operations are carried out to a high standard.

Responsibilities 

  • Carry out tool box talks.
  • Identify the need for Risk Assessments.
  • Manage and implement Health and Safety procedures.
  • Support the Operations Manager.
  • Plan work activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and on time.
  • Maintain site records accurately.
  • Be aware of the financial situation of the project at all times.
  • Co-ordinate the activities of Site Personnel and ensure their time is used effectively.
  • Support and encourage co-workers to achieve results.
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Lead, direct and develop the team.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of sub-contractors.
  • Identify training needs.
  • Carry out performance reviews.
  • Willing and keen to assume responsibility.
  • Ensure that the correct processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Portray a professional image of the organisation at all times.

Experience and Attributes 

  • Five years experience within a multi-trade environment.
  • Experience of working with Decent Homes
  • Good knowledge of building maintenance.
  • Experience managing projects and ensuring all costs are controlled.
  • Maintaining and improving KPI’s.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and Asbestos regulations.
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • IT literate – previous use of Microsoft packages.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • SMSTS Card.
  • First Aider.
