Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR professional to join a friendly family business to cover a maternity leave between June and October, there will be the opportunity for a cross over with the incumbent member of staff.  The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact of all HR queries and processes, will be confident resolving and managing HR issues and liaising and with members of the senior management team.

Duties

  • Produce HR contracts, i.e. offer letters, contracts of employment and contract amendments.
  • Manage the on-boarding process, carrying out eligibility and DBS checks, obtaining references and ensuring that all documentation is correct.
  • Create both electronic and paper files and ensuring that all information is maintained confidentially and in accordance with GDPR regulations.
  • Administer the probation process, ensuring all managers are advised of forthcoming reviews or end dates and any issues are discussed.
  • Monitor holiday and absence records, highlighting any issues.
  • Mange the leaving process and ensure that all paperwork is completed, and any company property is returned.
  • Keep the HR system updated with all relevant information.
  • Assist the MD with any ad hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Manage the Company IT Security.
  • Oversee Health and Safety.
  • Assist with incoming business calls.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience within HR at Advisor level.
  • Knowledge of current HR legislation.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise.
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.
  • GCSE level grade A – C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach, able to resolve issues effectively.
  • Superb written and verbal communicator.
  • Confident dealing with Senior Managers.
  • Competent dealing with confidential matters.
