My clients portfolio covers the Eastern Home Counties and London, they are looking for a well rounded and experienced operations person, to help push the business even further.
They are are a well respected security services provider who are looking for someone who wants more than just a job, they want this person to join and be an integral part of the business.
You will be required to travel as a key part of the role. As part of the role you will be based on various sites to complete risks assessments, staff visits, compliance and client meetings.
Job Purpose
- To provide an effective and efficient interface between the client and the Company and ensure the smooth running of each contract allocated to the job holder
- Reports directly to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan, organise and manage the operational activities of the security workforce
Work with the Head of Compliance & HR to ensure the following -
- To prepare and update Health and Safety Risk assessments, ensuring they are site relevant at all times.
- To ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Quality Policies, including completion and submission of all appropriate documentation and reports.
- To prepare and update site Security Risk Assessments.
- To ensure site personnel are in possession of appropriate uniform and Personal Safety Equipment.
- To ensure identified site specific security equipment is available on site and maintained in good working order at all times.
- To compile Assignment Instructions for each contract, ensuring they are in date, valid and refer to the manager responsible for the contract.
- To ensure assignment instructions are signed off by the client within 8 weeks of commencement of contract.
- To monitor and evaluate security standards for each contract.
- To recruit, train, develop and motivate on site supervisors and security staff. Ensuring all site induction paperwork is compiled and completed prior to Supervisor(s) / Officer(s) conducting duties on site(s).
- To ensure that all site security personnel are correctly accredited and licensed in accordance with SIA regulations.
- To ensure site specific staff are aware and comply with the client’s evacuation, fire, bomb scare and other emergency procedures.
- To administer the contract including the upkeep of staff attendance records, employee relations, accident reporting, grievance and discipline procedures.
- To ensure duty rosters are prepared and staffed adequately.
- To instigate/investigate alleged disciplinary offences in accordance with company policies.
- To liaise with clients and other key personnel on a regular basis to review contract performance.
- To identify areas for additional business with existing or future clients.
- To ensure client files are current and up to date.
Skills
- Demonstrates strong management skills and has experience of delivering security services.
- Shows energy, drive, determination to succeed and persistence.
- Manages employees with a firm but fair approach.
- Has excellent communication skills for dealing with a very wide range of people.
- Be prepared to cover for security on occasion
- Is extremely well organized and thorough.
- Possesses a strong work ethic, flexible approach to work, with a strong focus on customer service and successful results.
- Holds a current SIA licence.
- Ideally has a CSCS
- Holds a full driving licence.
- IT literate and fully competent in MS office software.
