We are looking for a Senior Agile Business Analyst for an established, well known company based in Hertfordshire.

Working closely with the product owner and development team you will be translating business and strategic requirements into user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria.  You will provide process documentation, business domain models, event and interaction models and any other supporting material to enable stories to meet requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 

• Develops creation of effective requirement strategies
• Groom the product backlog based on the prioritisation provided by the product owner and stakeholders
• Create detailed process maps
• Work with the product owner and the stakeholders to understand the scope and suggest improvements to the requirements
• Attend requirements and design workshops to create user stories that identifies the proposed solution
• Use business and divisional knowledge to consider impact on other processes and additional testing needs
• Work with business and IT to ensure that they system solutions fully meet the business requirements
• Create the requirements in the form of user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria
• Add context around the requirements and ensures there is right level of detail at the right time to satisfy the development team needs
• Ensure the development team has enough details to get the task/project done by providing process documentation, business domain models, event and interaction models and any other supporting material to enable stories to meet requirements
• If in case the user stories have been already created by the product owner (with acceptance criteria), then reviewing them to make sure that every business rule is covered and the acceptance criteria meet the user story functionality
• Support the product owner with decision making
• Prepare documents like wireframes, design flow, UI, etc., as and when required
• Work with the senior tester to create test scenarios and scripts to ensure requirements has been fulfilled
• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
• Provide timely solutions
• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE and COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum 5 years in the role of senior business analyst / business analyst
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Experience in .NET/.Net Core
• Experience with C#
• Experience working within or playing a leading role
• Analytical thinking and problem solving
• Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
• Technical and analytical aptitude
• Good communication skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience of working on agile software development projects, understands concepts of SCRUM and agile delivery

• Able to make pragmatic decisions based on a good understanding of trade-offs, constraints and other influencing factors common to the software development process
