We have some new opportunities available for experienced HR professionals who are ER specialists. The successful candidate will need to have proven experience of managing a high volume of caseloads and be able to work efficiently, in a fast paced and demanding role.
Role Description
Key responsibilities:
• Providing comprehensive advice on Employee Relations situations
• Advising, guiding, and supporting Managers
• Ensuring HR policies and procedures are met, and sound employee relations are facilitated and promoted.
This includes:
• HR policy and procedure interpretation
• Employment legislation
• TUPE in/out detailed managements
• Terms and conditions of employment
• Recruitment and selection
• Absence management
• Grievance,
• Disciplinary and termination management
• Remuneration and benefits,
• Health, safety, and welfare
• Performance management issues
• Conducting and providing support in relation to disciplinary and grievances
• Supporting the HRD or HRM on completion of ET3 forms and production of Employment Tribunal Bundles
• Identifying improvements to existing policies, processes, and procedures
• Undertaking of ad-hoc projects as and when required
• Coaching, training and mentoring HR Assistants in their work relating to disciplinary, grievances and other statutory procedures
• Supporting employees and managers across the UK on a helpdesk for Employee Relations processes
• Handling high volume ER cases in a fast-paced environment and producing correspondence within agreed timescales
• Providing advice on all Employee ER issues/policies to employees, including legislation, policies, and processes.
• Undertaking and supporting Account Managers in relation to redundancy and TUPE activity across the business
• Production of confidential MI - monthly statistical reports on: ER cases, Tribunals, compromise agreements, sickness and Employee turnover highlighting any drastic negative or positive movement for the HRD/HRM
Knowledge/experience:
• Appropriate level of generalist HR experience gained within a fast-moving environment
• Sound legislative knowledge
• Sound working knowledge of operational issues within the busines
• Ability to respond under pressure to fluctuating circumstances and the ability to manage a high and diverse workload
• Ideally knowledge and understanding of the complexity of working in a unionised environment
• Has an excellent understanding of HR policies and procedures and employment legislation
• Has an excellent understanding of TUPE in & out policies and procedures
• Has a good understanding of Pension (ABS) policies and procedures
• Has an excellent understanding working within a fast paced, high turnover low margin organisation
• Has an understanding and experience of compliance - DBS (high level) application procedures
• Has as understanding of Security vetting and SIA licence application procedures
