Are you a HR Professional seeking a new challenge? If so, we have a new role that has become available that could be for you!
We are looking for a confident, assertive, and experienced Senior HR Officer with a solid generalist background who is organised, efficient, and is used to working in a fast paced, demanding role.
Multitasking is essential, along with the ability to prioritise your workload effectively. You will confident advising Managers on best practice and policies, along with managing the day-to-day operational tasks within the HR team.
The successful candidate will also need to have excellent accuracy and attention to detail as this role will require a significant amount of administration to be completed to a very high standard.
This is a full time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) and there is flexibility needed as there would occasionally be additional hours required (this can be done from home).

Key duties of the Senior HR Officer;
- Deliver employment best practices.
- Proactively assist in filling vacant posts with high calibre candidates in line with the required skills and talent.
- Provide the necessary professional expertise to ensure the relevant advice is given.
- Maintain recruitment and vetting procedures.
- Work with the HR Manager to ensure that the HR policies are up to date.
- Ensure compliance with HR legislation.
- Issue all employment related documents including job offers, contracts and agreements relating to benefits.
- Support the accurate and timely collation of information for the monthly payroll and support the Payroll Team with the related annual tasks.
- Ensure that the HR team have an up to date and working knowledge of Data Protection regulations, operating to best standards.
- Oversee and coordinate the recruitment process and on-boarding process, ensuring timely selection and turnaround of new starters to maintain a full complement of staff in line with budget and authorisation.
- Manage probationary periods and confirm staff in post as appropriate.
- Advise and support all Managers and Staff with employment matters.
- Under the guidance of HR management, manage the disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Advise on ER issues, providing the relevant direction and process required to manage a case to conclusion or seek further specialist advice.
- Promote and encourage the development of staff.
- Ensure that HR expertise is shared and developed within the wider HR Team, actively mentoring, and advising, helping put the skills into practice.
- Advise Managers on performance management processes.
- Stay up to date with HR / employment legislation and specific compliance requirements.
