We are working with our client in Bishop’s Stortford who have seen huge growth recently and are leaders in their industry. They are rapidly expanding and are now seeking talented Sales Underwriting Clerks (working remotely) to provide a first-class service to their customers.

The successful candidates will have an excellent telephone manner, be able to use their own initiative, be proactive and self-motivated. You must also have the ability to work in a fast paced and demanding role where the customer is the priority. You will also need to be very target driven with a desire to be successful!

Candidates will need access to a reliable internet connection and workspace as this role will be working remotely.

Full training will be given - experience is not necessary.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 6 pm or 10am to 7pm, alternate Saturdays 9am to 2pm.

The role is telephone-based (both in and outbound calls) selling car insurance, there is no cold-calling requirement.

Duties

• Primarily telephone based: receiving calls from prospective customers, taking all relevant information, providing accurate quotations for motor insurance and securing the sale of the policy.
• Advise customers of all policy details, including policy excesses and additional benefits.
• Take payments to initiate cover, set-up payment plans, deal with online quotations.
• Contact customers that have requested quotation callbacks.

Full training is provided on our products, insurance underwriting and how to use the computer system.

No previous sales experience is required but good communication skills that translate to a confident and friendly telephone manner are essential for this position.
