We are looking for a Careers Co-ordinator on a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave.  Working for a local organisation who are passionate about supporting individuals with their career development and upskilling within the sector, you will be the first point of contact promoting this choice with young people.  Your aim will be to develop and deliver an effective career service that promotes the sector as an attractive career choice for young people and then supports them in their adult professional development. 

Duties will include:

• First point of contact for careers, learners, schools and young professionals queries
• Support to convert 2K+ Apprenticeship Standard Learners to Student members
• Build relationships whilst promoting the careers offer with young people, schools, colleges, training providers and employers
• Develop and maintain networks with key stakeholders to enhance careers offer
• Lead on existing relationship management and fulfil sponsorship agreements
• Supporting the development of local opportunities for young people with a destination of unemployment
• Develop educational career resources for teachers in schools and career advisors
• Content and article creation for websites, blog and social media
• Support development and production of termly newsletter / vlog etc.
• Product research and continuous improvements

• Experience of working with young people
• Customer care and engagement skills
• Creative writing
• Experience of content creation
• Experience of employer engagement
• Experience of online engagement and social media tool user, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, web, etc.
• I.T. literate
