We have a new opportunity for an experienced Internal Recruiter for our client who are based on the outskirts of Bishop’s Stortford.
The successful candidate will be proactive and driven with the ability to use their own initiative. You will be experienced in driving recruitment, utilising all methods, ensuring that all avenues are explored, and successful methods implemented.
This is role is an 18-month contract so ideally you will need to be available to start immediately.
Due to location of this role, you must have access to your own transport.
Key accountabilities:
• Manage recruitment to the high-volume vacancies across the organisation.
• Manage recruitment to specific business critical professional roles.
• Use a coaching approach to provide guidance/support to line managers and resourcing colleagues on how to better manage the recruitment and selection process. Proactively support them to develop their knowledge and skills.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to increase the number of workers appointed as employees.
• Identify where processes, practices and procedures are delaying the selection and appointment process.
• Review and re-write job descriptions, person specifications and further information designed to promote the organisation as an employer to ensure these are optimal.
• Write effective advertisement copy, recruitment/section policy and process guidance and procedure to include standard letters / emails currently used to engage with applicants for employment. Ensure that the documentation and practices used are both streamlined and in line with best practice.
• Identify and promote IT enabled engagement/solutions within the recruitment/selection process.
• Review the interview, selection and on boarding processes as a single coherent end to end process and ensure this is optimal. This includes carrying out a review of all existing selection processes (eg interview pro formas, standard questions, tests etc).
• Review, design/redesign and conduct interviews and selection tests.
• To identify opportunities to improve the knowledge / skills of managers and design and deliver training in these areas.
• Liaise with colleagues in learning and development to maximise the effectiveness of induction, ensuring new employees and workers start work as quickly as possible having completed all essential learning and development.
• Seek out ways to promote the organisation as an employer. To engage proactively with potential external partners creating relationships and opportunities eg opportunities for professional work placements (eg Universities and Colleges), school/college work placements etc
• Undertake regular and ad hoc reporting/data analysis/submission of returns to demonstrate progress.
• To work closely with colleagues, building strong and effective working relationships.
