We are currently working with a very well-established organisation who are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Team Leader to join their modern offices in Hatfield.
Joining this dynamic and progressive company, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the Procurement Dept. You will ensure all product ranges meet the requirements of the external demands via the sales dept. You will work very closely alongside other members of the procurement team to maintain accurate stock requisition.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. My client can offer you a very competitive salary which will be dependent on level of experience. You will also be entitled to the following benefits:

Duties of the Procurement Coordinator:
- Manage the Procurement Department to ensure the department meets respective objectives deadlines and other targets
- Acknowledging and addressing daily/ weekly and long-term tasks, being proactive and taking the department forward
- Full understanding of the teams duties and being there for support and escalation
- Overseeing monthly stock orders to factories and third party suppliers - meeting agreed deadlines
- Establishing relationships with other European Branches - overseeing and dealing with new orders and queries on existing orders ensuring intercompany pricing is maintained for all parts
- All internal and external emails/telephone queries/tasks are responded to and resolved in a timely manner to suit the needs of the business
- Attend all relevant inter-departmental meetings held ensuring relationships are upheld and any queries resolved
Experience and Key Competencies
- Customer service experience is essential
- Previous experience of successfully managing a team is essential
- SAP Experience preferable
- IT Literate and competent user of Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent time management, multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines set
- Ability to challenge and deal with difficult situations whilst remaining professional
- Ability to motivate self and team
