We currently have an excellent opportunity to join a very well-established company in Harlow as a Buying Administrator. This is a fantastic chance to join a modern business whose employees are at the heart of everything they do. This role is a maternity cover position and will initially be for 3-months but has the potential to go on longer.

The successful candidate will work a 37.5 hour week between Monday and Friday. There is flexibility however and we are happy to discuss suitable hours with any prospective candidate.
Responsibilities of Buying Administrator
- Administer the day to day operation of the buying function
- Act as first point of contact for suppliers and customers
- Receive email orders and raise corresponding product order on company system
- Produce quotations for clients and actively follow-up
- Match delivery notes with corresponding PO
- Match supplier invoices with corresponding orders and raise any anomalies with the Finance team
- Order materials on behalf of the company and for other sites – sourcing more competitive prices when required
- Analyse weekly reports and cross reference
- Ensure system is regularly updated and well-maintained
- Liaise heavily with Operatives to ascertain their product and quantity requirements
Key Skills and Competencies of Buying Administrator
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months and able to commence employment from mid-February
- Strong administrative skills required
- Previous buying experience desirable
- Able to work on own initiative and self-manage
- Able to work cooperatively as a team to achieve targets
- Excellent communication both verbally and written
- Ability to strengthen relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Confident in own ideas and capabilities
- Flexible in working approach and able to work under pressure
