We are currently working with a highly reputable business who, due to expansion, are looking for an experienced Complaint Handler to join their friendly and outgoing team on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will work within a busy department dedicated to providing a high level of customer service to clients currently going through the complaints process. Whilst you will need to have previous experience of complaints handling, this is a mediation role and full support and training will be provided.
The successful candidate will work 20 hours per week. Please note, that whilst the hours worked are negotiable, you must be able to commit to working Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities of Complaints Handler
- Act as first point of contact and mediation for the department and provide a high level of customer service from the very beginning of the complaints process through to outcome.
- Responding to complainants via email and letter within companies agreed timescales.
- Compose formal responses to complaint requests in writing.
- Offer advice and understanding to customers and advise them through the complaints process.
- Provide a calm and empathic approach to sensitive situations.
- Liaise with external parties to provide regular updates to all parties incolved.
- Complete personal administration and adhoc duties as and when required.
Key Competencies of Complaints Handler
- Previous experience of complaints handling and/or mediation is required for this role.
- A confident and polite telephone manner is required for this role.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
