This role will appeal to a talented Finance Assistant who is keen, committed to continual learning and is seeking exposure to all aspects of accounts.
The role will initially be offered as a 12 month contract with the potential to become permanent.
The role of Finance Assistant will report to the Financial Controller and will involve working as part of a well-established finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly payroll runs (some experience preferred)
- Purchase Ledger processes, payments and reconciliations
- Preparation of analytical reports and variance analysis
- Assistance with month end processes
- Preparation of management accounts
- Balance sheet and P & L reconciliations
- Assistance with budget variance, analysis and forecasting
- Assist with preparation for statutory audits
- Working with the Financial Controller to improve business processes, reengineering and efficiency initiatives
- Ad-hoc office and finance duties as required
Experience required
- A minimum of 2 years within an Accounts environment
- Knowledge of payroll
- Experience of working with Sage Accounts and Payroll
- Proficient user of Excel, familiar with VLookups and Pivot tables
- Accounting qualifications desirable
