We are currently working with a fantastic organisation who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their offices on the outskirts of Harlow.
The successful candidate will manage the Credit Control section of the Accounts function, ensuring efficient and timely collection of company debts. Within this role you will also be responsible for the maintenance of the company customer account base including customer / sales team liaison.
In this role you will be working alongside 2 other credit controllers and our accounts team. You will be supporting in-house customer service and account teams as well as systematic chasing by phone and email. To succeed you need to be a confident, a good negotiator with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
You will work a 40 hour week between Monday and Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm) and be entitled to the following benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Aged debt monitoring
- Collecting and processing customer payments
- Customer/Sales team liaison
- Ongoing monitoring of customer credit-worthiness
- Obtaining credit references
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Dealing with account queries & incoming telephone calls
- Implementing and monitoring special payment arrangements
- Monitoring bad/doubtful debts
- Ensuring customer details are maintained on system (Credit Cards/Account details etc.)
- Issuing monthly account statements
- Chasing overdue payments via telephone/email/letter etc
- Providing cover and assistance to colleagues.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum of one year’s experience
