We are currently working with a very well-established organisation who are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Environmental Officer to join their modern offices in Hatfield.
Joining this dynamic and progressive company, you will assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all aspects of the ongoing ISO14001 accreditation as well as other compliance activities. You will ensure all regulatory and corporate requirements are fulfilled and communicated in a professional manner.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. My client can offer you a very competitive salary which will be dependent on level of experience. You will also be entitled to the following benefits:

Duties of the Compliance and Environmental Officer:
- Understand and maintain all necessary requirements in order to retain ISO accreditation
- Work in collaboration with internal departments collaboratively to enhance compliance awareness and processes
- Oversee environmental audits
- Attend environmental meetings
- Help manage on-site audits
- Collate all necessary documentations in order to remain compliant
- Help conduct and document nationwide audits
- Complete all administration surrounding training activities such as E-learning
- Maintain all employee compliance training records
- Conduct general administration such as making travel and meeting room bookings
- Upload and maintain policies on company intranet
Previous Experience and Competencies:
- Must be IT literate and competent user of all Microsoft packages
- Be a clear communicator with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Be personable and adaptable in your approach to discussing compliance with those who have limited experience with it previously
- Experience of business process controls – essential
- Internal audit experience – advantageous
- Experience of working towards ISO14001
- Experience of battery reporting, WEEE reporting, REACH, and RoHS legislation and/or an understanding of JSOX – desirable
