We are currently working with a fantastic organisation who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their offices on the outskirts of Harlow.
The successful candidate will work within the Credit Control section of the Accounts function, ensuring efficient and timely collection of company debts. Within this role you will also be responsible for the maintenance of the company customer account base including customer / sales team liaison.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am - 5.30pm and be entitled to the following benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as first point of contact for the department, especially with customers and liaison with the Sales
- Implement successful and appropriate debt collection procedures
- Manage aging debt cases
- Opening new accounts and setting appropriate credit limits
- Ongoing monitoring of customer credit-worthiness
- Obtaining credit references when required
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Dealing with account queries and liaising with internal departments when required
- Implementing and monitoring special payment arrangements
- Monitoring bad/doubtful debts and liaising with solicitors/tracing agents when required
- Ensuring customer details are maintained and remain confidential i.e. credit cards etc.
- Issuing monthly account statements
- Maintaining data summary spreadsheets
- Co-ordinate work of assistants
- Providing cover for Accounts when required
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum of one year’s experience
- Customer focused

- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality at all times
