This is a permanent role for a Junior-Mid PHP level Developer. You must have experience developing content managed websites and web applications using PHP7, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Experience in TRIPOS is also an advantage. You will have a keen interest in developing mobile apps. You must be hard working and creative, a strong team player with a desire to learn new skills. You should enjoy keeping up to date with new technologies and be able to understand their use in the real world for clients that work in different sectors. You must be a good communicator in written and spoken English, comfortable talking to clients when required.

Required Skills:

• 2-3 years PHP experience
• TRIPOS experience
• Strong frontend web skills, including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Wordpress
• Experience of working with front end platforms such as Tableau
• Strong database skills, preferably MySQL, and an ability to model requirements into an efficient working database
• Experience with API’s, be it interacting with or writing them yourself
• Exposure to SOAP
• Exposure to Linux systems
• Understanding of security and documentation best practice for development projects
• Understanding of version control in a multi-project environment
• Creative and hardworking with an eye for details
• Ability to self-manage and understand objectives from a client’s point of view
• Excellent verbal / written communication skills

Desired Skills: 

• Mobile development experience on any platform
• Working knowledge of Laravel or Symphony
• PHP 7 or another typed language
• Experience with Nginx and/or Redis
• Working knowledge of TRIPOS
• Working knowledge of a Modern Javascript framework (Vue, React, Angular)
• An understanding of Docker or Linux LXC containers
• General DevOps skills (Provisioning, Orchestration, Monitoring)
• Understanding of graphics editors such as Adobe Photoshop, GIMP or equivalent
• Experience of using RESTful web services, SOAP, XML and API integration
• Experience of cross-platform roll outs
