We have currently have a new opportunity for an experienced Credit Control Assistant to join my clients expanding Accounts Team. The successful applicant will need to have a minimum of 1 years’ credit control experience, including chasing for payments, talking to customers, allocation of monies etc.
It is a very busy environment and involves large volumes of data, manipulating and matching data, problem solving, reconciling payments and troubleshooting as well as the administrative tasks involved in collecting and chasing payments. Knowledge of Excel is a benefit.
Full training will be provided but my client will expect the individual to have excellent customer services skills, a confident telephone manner and excellent organisation skills.
Key Duties:
- Take responsibility for your own work, ensuring all queries are actioned within customer deadline or 72 hours (whichever is sooner)
- Ensure all online new business is actioned as soon as possible including setting up Close agreements for those where only a deposit has been received
- Ensure all banking has been allocated on a daily basis and appropriate action is taken on any payments that cannot be allocated
- Ensure all actions are taken to administer client’s finance agreements including cancellation of policies due to non-payment
- Take responsibility for Continuous Authority payments to ensure they are taken on a daily basis
- Maximise renewal retention with chase procedures in place for all allocated renewals
- Ensure all customer complaints are resolved in a way that treats the customer fairly at all times and refer to your Manager where required
- Manage own workload and assess customer’s needs and then provide suitable advice whilst treating all customers fairly at all times
- Ensure all administration and paperwork is undertaken in accordance with the firm’s procedures
- Ensure that at all times you conduct yourself in accordance with the Rules, Codes of Conduct and Guidelines as issued by the firm and FCA
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 1 years experience within Credit Control
- Demonstrable commitment to a previous employer
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong IT skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
