We are looking to recruit a dynamic and confident Press and PR Manager who will be responsible for all company Press and PR activities for our client who are based in Harlow.
This is a varied and significant role within the business so we are looking for a high calibre candidate who can represent the company both professionally and effectively.
The successful candidate will ideally have the relevant PR / Marketing qualifications to support this role and experience within a similar position.

Key duties of the Press and PR Manager;
- Responsible for monitoring social media channels and alerting stakeholders as necessary. To provide monthly reports and analysis on activity and trends.
- Distribute media alerts as required, record details of media enquiries and alert Governors, Directors and key stakeholders as appropriate.
- Maintain and update the PR Positioning document on a monthly basis as part of the PR media response strategy.
- Develop and implement a programme of engagement with key journalists and media across social affairs and politics in liaison with the Press and PR Manager.
- Draft initial responses to all media and MP enquiries, keeping the Press log of all enquiries and responses updated.
- Draft initial content for any press releases for ultimate sign-off by the Director
- Prepare and update briefing packs required for MP engagement, including constituency offices.
- Monitor and evaluate the political monitoring service, Dods, alerting stakeholders of key issues that may impact the business
- Ensure Brand Guidelines are followed, which includes accessibility for all literature and materials produced, including requests for the logo to be used by third parties.
Events:
- In consultation with the Senior Press and PR Manager, organise, manage and attend various PR events/activities.
- Organise photographers for PR events for media purposes and various external publications, including for the website.
Other:
- Co-ordinate editorial/entries into relevant directories and publications, as required.
- Update Pulse, the Intranet and website as required.
- Provide general help, advice and assistance, both internally and externally, on any PR issues, as required.
- Maintain the PR budget records and raise purchase orders as required.
