I am currently working with a rapidly expanding business who are seeking a motivated and experienced Office Manager to join their friendly team in Harlow.
Due to ongoing success, this well-established company are looking for a natural leader to provide guidance to their busy Sales office. Your goal will be to provide outstanding services to our clients and stakeholders within the business by developing effective customer service and administration procedures. You will have a proven track record of supporting a Sales Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within a similar position in a fast-paced office environment where multi-tasking and diverse workload are everyday challenges. You will have experience in dealing teams within an organisation that require various levels of support and assistance.
You will work Monday – Thursday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm and 9:00am – 5:00pm on Friday. Our client is offering a salary of up to £35k per annum dependent on experience (plus annual performance bonus).

Responsibilities
- Assisting the Sales Manager with day-to-day support and administration of the sales and processing team.
- Ensure the efficient running of the Sales office and provide guidance and support to the entire team.
- Handle all general HR duties including; recruitment, sickness, disciplinaries, holiday, training & development.
- Dealing with customer and stakeholder queries/complaints and introducing best practice measures/procedures.
- Act as escalation point for complaints where required.
- Supervise and monitor performance of administrative and sales staff.
- ISO Compliance – Assisting managers in the continuous improvement and compliance within the ISO standards and completion of audits.
- Support management in the compliance of all on site Health & Safety systems including carrying out and supporting managers with Health & Safety audits, assessments and training as required by an external provider.
- Manage an email inbox and ensure all enquiries are dealt with and followed up within agreed timescales.
- Complete all spreadsheets and reporting as and when required.
- Manage the database and ensure it is well maintained.
- Review, develop and implement new and/or existing administrative systems
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Confident communicating with people both internal and external on all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail to all aspects of work.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly-used office packages.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Exceptional team working skills and the confidence to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
- A problem-solving approach to work.
- Project-management skills.
- A familiarity with legislation in the areas of HR, equality and diversity, Health and Safety and GDPR is useful, but not essential.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years’ proven experience within a similar environment.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience of team supervision and management.
- Able to support the Sales Manager to achieve their own targets.
- Able to support Managers in Warehouse and Transport departments achieve and deliver their company and compliance targets.
- Making and managing culture changes within an organisation.
- Computer literate
- Experience of using CRM Software – minimum 1 year.
