We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join a dynamic and growing organisation based in Croydon.
Salary
Basic: £40,000 - £44,000, OTE: £66,000
Role summary
All Account Managers and Team Leader will report to you. All clients are allocated their own Account Manager and the company encourage them to approach their role as though they are running their own business. The role represents the opportunity to help Account Manager’s achieve their potential and can be broadly split into two parts
1.Client Development
The challenge is to help your Account Manager’s to make their clients more successful than they were last year. That can involve working with them on specific opportunities, identifying products or services about which they are not aware of or doing a deal on something they buy elsewhere.
You’ll work with the marketing department and Strategy Director to provide your team with campaigns, products and opportunities to help develop your business. The company will back you up with training, guidance, marketing and sales support.
2. Service
Building long lasting relationships with clients requires them to have an exceptional experience. Your role will be to ensure that your Account Manager’s give all clients the absolute best service possible. The role is varied and interesting and will include helping your team when their clients:
2.1 Need a quote for products or when they need to order them.
2.2 Need support and advice regarding their products and the scenarios that they will be used in. You’ll get plenty of product training and support to enable you to excel in this area.
2.3 Need assistance to change a delivery time or location, find out more about when a delivery has or will take place or to locate goods once they have been delivered.
2.4 Need to let us know a product needs to be returned, replaced or where there is a fault.
2.5 Need to know about exciting new products or services.
2.6 Need documents including invoices, POD’s and technical information.
Expectation's
The organisation have very clear targets for the team in relation to the quality of the service that they provide and their ability to grow their accounts. They are rewarded bonuses based on hitting these targets and we expect that you will be able to help our Account Manager’s to achieve their targets. In return, you’ll be awarded bonuses, if you are successful.
Experience & skills
Experience in managing a team is absolutely essential. The role requires a combination of the ability to motivate your team, invest in them to develop their skills and help them to be as efficient as possible with their time.
Technical knowledge is not required (we have a comprehensive training programme to cover that) but the successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand customer’s and the team’s needs. We will also supply you with market information and support as its unlikely that you will be familiar with our market.
