Description

We are currently working with a fantastic company in Harlow who are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join them as soon as possible on an initial 12-month maternity cover contract. Within this role, being fluent in multiple languages would be highly desirable. 

Our client, a market leader in their field, are looking for an experienced and resilient professional to assist in providing an unfaltering customer service to their customers.

In this role, you will work between Monday and Friday. Our client can also offer you the following benefits:

The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring accurate order processing and management from order placement through to delivery in a timely manner within agreed timeframes. The post holder will ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of customer service in order to help place and deliver customer orders.
  • Ensure all UK and Export customer orders are accurately entered onto the system on the day of receipt. Special attention should be paid to price, delivery address, special requirements etc.
  • Track, monitor and report on customer service quality and performance (complaints database).
  • Accurately update customer databases according to company protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation and follow up of customer quotations.
  • Assist in providing monthly customer forecasts to sales/production where appropriate.
  • Analyse customer/sales data in order to better understand customer requirements. 
  • Manage any customer returns in line with the company returns process.
  • Support internal/external sales teams with customer orders, enquiries, sample orders and ad-hoc reporting where necessary.
  • Work with freight forwarding partners in order to accurately organise transport for customer orders.
  • Ensure accuracy of relevant shipping documents/certificates.
  • Provide accurate ETA’s for customers and ensure they are regularly updated on the status of their order.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production and Logistics to ensure smooth order progression so goods are supplied to customers within the promised lead times.
  • Liaise with customers on day to day enquiries with the aim to achieve mutually agreed outcomes.
  • Build and maintain harmonious professional working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers demonstrating sound courtesies, business ethics and principles.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to optimise user experience for clients and customers
  • When problem presenting/solving always endeavour to put forward best resolution methods so as to continually improve company processes, procedures, & best practice.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • A good knowledge of SAP processing system
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with existing and potential customers both verbally and in writing
  • Strong order processing, high accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • A self-motivated team player with the ability to manage smaller individual projects
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining positive professional relationships both internally and externally
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Word & Excel skills, Outlook
  • Proven track record of delivering positive, enthusiastic, confident and pro-active customer service results
  • Adaptable, flexible, positive approach
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to organise and prioritise tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proven track record of customer services experience, understanding customer needs and responding accordingly
  • Assertive and proactive; should be self-motivated, goal-oriented, quality-driven and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Able to communicate concepts succinctly and effectively, with excellent written and verbal communications
