We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a rapidly growing organisation in Hoddesdon within their Safety, Health, Environment and Quality department.
The role is central to the smooth running and development of the local SHEQ’s systems on site, ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient administrative support service to the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager in Hoddesdon.
The role will include but not be limited to:
- To administer and co-ordinate the daily operations of the site’s SHEQ Management System ensuring that procedures are being carried out in line with company requirements.
- To co-ordinate the maintenance of all SHEQS documentation.
- To provide SHE advice and support to site personnel, assessing risks, providing coordinating documentation.
- To actively contribute to SHEQS continuous improvement across the Hoddesdon Site.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years operational experience within a Health & Safety support role
- Ability to train others in Safety, Health and Environmental standards and regulations to all levels within the organisation
- NEBOSH General Certification or higher safety qualification would be desirable
- Certificate in environmental management would be desirable
- Working knowledge of ISO9001
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent use of IT systems
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Positive and self-motivated
- Advocate best practice and compliance
