We are excited to be working with a brand new client who due to continued growth is looking to appoint a Warehouse Manager to join their friendly and expanding team.

They require an individual who has vast experience within a warehouse environment, is self-motivated and confident in leading a busy team. Our client is happy to consider a Warehouse Supervisor who is keen to take the next step and progress into a more senior role.

Working 40 hours a week (between Monday and Friday, usually 9am – 5pm / 10am – 6pm) the successful candidate will be flexible and happy to work outside of those hours when required i.e. holiday and sickness cover.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager

• Manage a team of warehouse staff and ensuring all required duties are completed
• Manage all aspects of the depots operation
• Motivate and lead the team to success and encourage growth and development
• Deal with enquiries from drivers and warehouse staff and proactively solve any issues that arise
• Assist with recruitment for the warehouse when required
• Organise warehouse and vehicle repairs and maintenance when required
• Overseeing all Health & Safety aspects of the business and ensuring best practice
• Complete paperwork and all other administrative tasks required of the role

The successful candidate will have:

• A proven track record of running a successful team ideally within a similar sector
• Previous depot and manual handling experience
• An awareness of the Health & Safety practices
• Be able to work under pressure in an extremely busy environment
• A counter balance forklift licence – essential
• A HGV licence – desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Successful candidates will be required to pass background security clearance check
