We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a fantastic organisation in Hatfield.
My client is looking for an ambitious, organised and experienced Project Manager to join their busy automotive division. They can offer you a competitive salary dependent on experience plus eligibility to join the end of year bonus scheme.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm and be entitled to the following benefits:

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
The main focus of the position is to manage and coordinate projects for both Electrical and Electronic components for a major supplier.
- Responsible for project delivery towards the customer including documentation, timing and coordination of development with our factories, encompassing both commercial and supply chain elements
- Communicate with parent factories, local engineers, commercial contacts and customer project teams
- Lead and organise project teams, manage project meetings both internally and with customers
- Understand the requirements and manage each project phase as necessary
- Manage change requests, feature rollout and software delivery to the customer and maintain customer issue tracking systems
- Represent the company’s development interests towards the customer and ensure that their intentions, expectations and ideas are communicated to our development engineers, using local knowledge of the customer and the market to ensure communication is relevant and an accurate reflection of the situation
- Supporting activities relating to the departments Quality Management System and International Automotive Task Force requirements
- Working with Account Manager to manage commercial activities as well as cost discussions/negotiations and internal budgets
Previous Experience and Competencies of the Project Manager:
- Project management experience is required for this role
- Degree or equivalent in a related industry qualification would be advantageous
- Understanding of the automotive product development process
- Understanding of automotive electrical/electronic/mechanical components or processes
- Proven automotive experience
- Working knowledge of import/export processes
- IT competency and proficiency in Microsoft packages
- Exceptional analytical, communication and organisational skills
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Driven to work in a fast paced, pressured, customer-focused industry
- Personal attributes to include; professional, confident, motivated, customer-focused and proactive
- Flexibility and willingness to travel overseas and around the UK

- Working knowledge of MRP systems
- Working knowledge of SharePoint systems
