Description

We are currently working with a highly reputable business who, due to expansion, are looking for an experienced Complaint Handler to join their friendly and outgoing team.

In this role, you will work within a busy department dedicated to providing a high level of customer service to clients currently going through the complaints process. Whilst you will need to have previous experience of complaints handling, full support and training will be provided.

The successful candidate will work Monday – Friday between the hours of either 9am – 5pm or 9:30am – 5:30pm. You will be resilient, motivated and be able to mediate between different parties in a positive manner. Salary is dependent on experience and this is not a call centre environment.

Responsibilities of Complaints Handler

  • Act as first point of contact for department and provide a high level of customer service from the very beginning of the complaints process
  • Responding to complainants via email and letter within companies agreed timescales
  • Compose formal responses to complaint requests in writing
  • Offer advice and understanding to customers and advise them through the complaints process
  • Provide a calm and empathic approach to sensitive situations
  • Liaise with external parties to provide regular updates
  • Complete personal administration and adhoc duties as and when required

Key Competencies of Complaints Handler

  • Previous experience of complaints handling is required for this role
  • A confident and polite telephone manner is required for this role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team
